Ever since he could hear music, Aman Sandhu has had an endless passion for it. This love for music eventually allowed Aman Sandhu to take that leap and pursue his dream. Aman started his singing career at the age of 16, performing at local events and gigs. Born and raised in Chandigarh, India, Aman Sandhu was very fond of listening to songs by some of his greatest influences: Ustaad Gulam Ali, Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Gurdas Maan, Sardool Sikander, Hans Raj Hans and Mohd Rafi.
Learning the art of music for nearly 5 years now, Aman continues to improve his vocal skills and abilities through the teachings of Ustaad Rajinder Raj. Being such a young artist, there is no telling what platform Aman Sandhu will rise to in the years to come!
For the past couple of months, Aman has worked closely with Toronto-based producer sOe to construct his debut single entitled Koka Nakhro Da. Being heavily influenced by producers such as Bhota/Bally Jagpal, Dr. Zeus, Panjabi MC, Tigerstyle and Sangra Vibes, sOe started fusing hip-hop instrumentals with Punjabi tracks to create remixes for mixtapes. Eventually, sOe entered the DJ circuit and started spinning at local clubs/events. This love for music extended even further when sOe decided to produce music of his own which he felt was lacking in Toronto and Canada altogether.
Eventually, with the support and guidance from producer E=MC, sOe began to work with several local artists on various projects to enhance his production. Now, sOe has teamed up with Aman Sandhu to bring the bhangra heavy-hitter of 2010...Koka Nakhro Da!
